The Ferrari F250—poised to succeed the legendary LaFerrari—is currently completing its final testing phases ahead of its official debut. The Ferrari F250 is expected to launch in 2025 with a limited production run of 400 units, alongside an additional 199 units for the open-top variant.
The Upcoming Ferrari F250 Hypercar
The designation "F250" serves as the project's internal codename—much like the LaFerrari, which was internally referred to as the F150 prior to its official unveiling. This provisional F250 moniker suggests that the vehicle is a hypercar capable of rivaling, or perhaps even surpassing, the legendary LaFerrari.
Ferrari F250 Supercar on the Test Track
The LaFerrari 'F150' was produced from the summer of 2013 through 2018; it is a hybrid supercar powered by a 6.3L V12 engine, delivering 949 horsepower and 663 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque. This vehicle served as Ferrari's most expensive model. Upon its launch, the LaFerrari was priced at $1.42 million.
Ferrari LaFerrari (F150)
Ferrari's supercar is equipped with a massive aerodynamic package, designed to pin the vehicle to the road surface at every speed. The rear wing is particularly aggressive, yet the bodywork features cooling ducts and hidden aerodynamic tricks to help it slice through the air efficiently.
The F250 hypercar will not only serve as a worthy successor to the LaFerrari but also promises to surpass its predecessor in many respects. According to Ferrari, the F250 will inherit the latest technologies from its racing cars competing in both Formula 1 and Le Mans. This approach is the same one Ferrari employed during the development of the LaFerrari.
Ferrari F250 Bodywork
It is still too early to determine the powertrain of the Ferrari F250 supercar; we anticipate that the F250 will be a hybrid—most likely utilizing a compact V6 engine paired with an electric motor—rather than a V8 or V12 configuration. However, all of this petrol-electric expertise is focused on performance, rather than on low CO2 emissions or fuel economy.
The rear of the Ferrari F250 features a high-mounted dual-exhaust system, complemented by a large-scale diffuser design. The taillight clusters are derived from the 1,000-horsepower SF90 Stradale hybrid supercar.
Ultralight material technology will also be applied to the F250, aiming to create a high-performance supercar that delivers a driving experience as exhilarating as piloting an F1 race car.
We anticipate catching our first glimpse of the Ferrari F250 in early 2025—or possibly even as early as late 2024. We will provide updates regarding the vehicle's specifications and pricing in the near future.
